'Sham' represents boundless joy. It is experienced by scholars after attaining vairagya. 'Shambhavi' means one who shows the way to 'Sam'. When we yearn for our mother with devotion, she cuddles us with love and leads us to the ultimate state of 'self realization'
Sarada represents wisdom. 'Saradulu' represents those people whose wisdom is complete, whose intellect is flawless. With the power of their intellect they find out that self realization is the ultimate happiness and rest all is illusion. They seek mother Lalitha's abode.
Sharadaradhya also means she who is to be worshipped during Navarathri celebrated during autumn (The period of sharannavaratri)
'శం' అంటే అంతులేని అవధులులేని ఆనందము. ఆత్మ సాక్షాత్కారము పొందిన యోగులు 'శం' యొక్క అనుభూతిని పొందుతారు. 'శం' కు దారిచూపునది శాంభవి. భక్తితో అమ్మను అర్థిస్తే ఆమె ప్రేమతో మనలను చేరదీసి 'శం' కు దారి చూపుతుంది.
శారద అంటే జ్ఞానం. జ్ఞానంగలవారు, పండితులు, కవులు మొదలగువారిని శారదులు అంటారు. అంటే జ్ఞానం పండినవారు అన్నమాట. అటువంటివారు ఆత్మానందమే నిజమైన సుఖమని, తక్కినవన్నీ మాయ అని తెలుసుకుని లలిత అమ్మను ప్రార్ధిస్తారు.
శరన్నవరాత్రులలో పూజింపబడుతుంది కనుక శారద అని కూడా లౌకికంగా చెప్పబడుతోంది.
