ఐదుసంవత్సరాల కన్య సుభగ.

ప్రపంచంలోని సువాసినులందరి సౌభాగ్యము స్వరూపముగా గలది.

పూజ్యతే యా సురైః సర్వైయతః స్తాం చైవ భజతే |
సేవాయాం భజతేర్జాతో గ్భగవత్యేన సా స్మృతా "
దేవతలచే భజింపబడునది. తనను భజించే వారిని అనుగ్రహించేది కాబట్టి సుభగా

విశ్వకోశాన్ననుసరించి భగ అంటే - ఐశ్వర్యము, మాహాత్మ్యము, జ్ఞానము, వైరాగ్యము, యోని, కీర్తి, వీర్యము, ప్రయత్నము, ఇచ్ఛా, శ్రీ, ధర్మ, రవి, ముక్తి అని అర్ధం చెప్పబడింది. ఇవన్నీ కలిగి ఉన్నది దేవి. తన భక్తులకు వీటన్నింటినీ ప్రసాదించునది.

విష్ణుపురాణంలో

శోభాయమానమైన రవిని గలిగినది. విష్ణువు యొక్క సర్వశక్తులు ఋగ్ యజుస్సాములని పేర్లు గలవి. మూడురకాలైన శక్తులు జగత్తును నాశనం చేస్తాయి. ప్రతినెలలోనూ సూర్యుడు ఎక్కడ ఉంటాడో అక్కడ త్రివేదముల స్వరూపం గల విష్ణుశక్తి ఉంటుంది. ఉదయం పూట - ఋగ్వేదము, మధ్యాహ్నం - యజుర్వేదము, సాయంసమయాన - సామవేదము ప్రకాశిస్తుంటాయి. ఈ రకంగా విష్ణువు వేదాల రూపంలో ఎప్పుడు సూర్యునితోనే ఉంటాడు. ఈ మూడు శక్తులూ త్రిమూర్తులే. ఈ రకంగా శక్తి రూపం దాల్చిన రవికి ఉదయాస్తమయాలు లేవు. ఇక్కడ ఉండే విష్ణువు సప్తమయుడు. సప్తమయుడు అంటే 1. దేవతలు, 2. ఋషులు, 3. గంధర్వులు, 4. అప్సరసలు, 5. యక్షులు, 6. సర్పాలు, 7. రాక్షసులు మొదలైన ఏడుగణాలతో కూడినవాడు. ఈ రకంగా రవిశోభాయమానుడవుతున్నాడు.

పద్మపురాణంలో

త్రిలోక సౌభాగ్యమయీం భుక్తిముక్తి ప్రదా ముమాం
ఆరాధ్య సుభగాం భక్త్యా నారీ వా కిం న విందతి
దేవతలకు శుభములు చేకూర్చేది. భుక్తి ముక్తి ప్రసాదించేది అయిన పరమేశ్వరిని (ఉమను) భక్తితో ఆరాధించటం శుభప్రదము

వరాహపురాణంలో
ఇక్షవ స్తరురాజ శ్చ నిష్పావా జీవరధాన్యకే
వికారవ చ్చ గోక్షీరం కుసుంభం కుంకుమం తథా
లవణం చేతి సౌభాగ్యాష్టకం స్థావరముచ్యతే ||
1. చెరకు 2. పారిజాతము 3. జీలకర్ర 4. ధాన్యము 5. గోక్షీరము 6. కుంకుమపువ్వు 7. పూలు 8. ఉప్పు ఇవి సౌభాగ్యాష్టకాలు. పరమేశ్వరి వీటి స్వరూపమైనది కాబట్టి సుభగా అనబడుతోంది.

Poojyate yaa suraih srvaiyatah sthaam chaiva bhajate|

sevaayaam bhajaterdhaatoo gbhagavatyena saa smrutaa||

She is worshipped by all devataas. She bequeaths all the pleasures to those who worship her

As per Vishwakosha, Bhaga means - Joy, Greatness, Knowledge, asceticism, vagina, popularity, courage, endeavor, passion, wealth, righteousness, life force. Divine mother is the giver of all these.

As per Vishnupurana, subhaga means the one who has a bright and shining Sun. All the shaktis of Lord Vishnu are named as Rig, Yajas and Saama vedas. This Vishnu shakti is present in Sun and moves around the earth. Rig veda shines in the morning. Yajurveda shines in the afternoon and Saama veda shines in the evening. With help of these Shaktis, the sun shines round the clock. Vishnu in this form is called sapthmaya. Sapthamaya means to have 1. Devata, 2. Rishi, 3. Gandharva, 4.Apsarasa 5. Yaksha, 6.Sarpa, 7. Rakshasa ganas. Like this the Sun is shining brilliantly.

As per Padma purana,

Triloka soubhaagyamayeem bhukthimukthi pradaa mumaam

aaraadhya subhagaam bhaktyaa naaree vaa kim na vindathi

She is the one auspicious to Devatas. It is always good to worship Uma who fulfills all worldly pleasures and Moksha

As per Varaaha puraana

Ikshava stharuraajascha nishpaavaa jeevaradhaanyake

vikaarava chcha goksheeram kusumbham kumkumam tadha

lavanam chethi soubhaagyaashtakam sthaavaramuchyate

1. Sugar cane, 2. Parijaata flower, 3.Cummin seeds, 4.Paddy 5. Cow milk, 6. Saffron, 7.flowers and 8. Salt. These are called Soubhaagyaashtakas. Meaning the eight essentials to live auspiciouly.
