సంసారము అనే బురదలో మునిగినవారిని ఉద్ధరించుటలో అఖండురాలు. ఇక్కడ సంసారము అంటే పుట్టడం, చావడం మళ్ళీ పుట్టడం అని అర్ధం చేసుకోవాలి.
కూర్మపురాణంలో
యే మనా గపి శర్వాణీం స్మరంతి శరణార్థినః |దుస్తరాపారసంసారసాగరే న పతంతి తే ||
పరమేశ్వరిని శరణుజొచ్చినవారు సంసారసాగరంలో పడరు అని చెప్పబడింది.
సౌందర్య లహరి
అవిద్యానా మంతస్తిమిరమిహిరద్వీపనగరీ
జడానాం చైతన్యస్తబకమకరందస్రుతిఝరీ
దరిద్రాణాం చింతామణిగుణనికా జన్మజలధౌ
నిమగ్నానాం దంష్ట్రా మురరిపు వరాహస్య భవతి ||
అమ్మా ! నీ పాదరేణువు అజ్ఞానమనే అంధకారాన్ని పోగొట్టే సూర్యబింబము. మందబుద్ధులకు జ్ఞానము కలిగించే దీపము. దరిద్రులకు సకల సంపదలిచ్చే చింతామణి. సంసారసాగరంలో మునిగిపోయిన వారికి, సముద్రంలో మునిగిపోయిన భూమిని బైటికి తీసుకువచ్చిన వరాహస్వామి అవుతున్నది. సంసారసాగరంలో మునిగిపోయిన వారిని అమ్మ రక్షిస్తుంది
Here Samsaara represents the phenomenon of cycles of birth and death. It is like quicksand. One who is stuck in it will drown to the bottom. They cannot help themselves to come out of it. But for those who seek help from Divine Mother, help is readily available to lift them out of this samsaara.
It is said like this in Kurma puraana
Ye manaa gapi Sharvaaneem smaranthi Sharanaardhinah |
dhustharaapaarasamsaarasaagare na pathanthi the ||
Those who seek help from Divine Mother are being rescued from the never ending cycles of birth and death
It is said like this in Soundarya Lahari
Avidyaanaam anthahsthimiramihiradweepanagari
jadaanaam chaitanyasthabakamakarandha shruthijharee
Dharidraanaam chintaamanikaa janmajaladhou
nimagnaanaam damshtraa muraripu varaahasya bhavathi ||
O Mother! A mere sight of a dust particle on your lotus feet will shatter all the ignorance in human mind. It is the lamp of light that will show the path to wisdom. A panacea that removes all the sorrows. Just like how Lord Varaaha lifted up the drowning earth from waters, you lift those who seek you from the never ending cycles of birth and death.
