కాళికాపురాణంలో చెప్పినట్లుగా బ్రహ్మ యొక్క రాత్రింపగళ్ళు పర అనబడతాయి. పరబ్రహ్మకు దివారాత్రములులేవు.
వేదంలో చెప్పినట్లుగా
ఇంద్రియాలకన్న మనస్సు శ్రేష్ఠమైనది. మనస్సు కన్న బుద్ధి శ్రేష్టమైనది బుద్ధి కన్న మహత్తు శ్రేష్ఠమైనది. మహత్తు కన్న అవ్యక్తము శ్రేష్ఠమైనది. ఆవ్యక్తము కన్న పరబ్రహ్మము శ్రేష్ఠమైనది. పరబ్రహ్మ కన్న శ్రేష్ఠమైనది ఏదీలేదు. అందుకే ఆమె పరాత్పరా అనబడుతోంది.Para means Great. Parulu means great people. Paraatparaa means she who is greater than the greatest. Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara are very great. But Divine mother is greater than these three. Divine mother has no life span. Neither birth nor death. She is eternal truth.
In Kalikapuraana it is said that days and nights of Brahma are called para. Paramaatma does not have night and day.
It is said like this in vedas
The mind is above the senses.
The intellect is above the mind.
Mahat is above intellect.
Avyakta is above Mahat.
Paramaatma is above Avyakta.
There is nothing above Paramatma.
