84: Haranethragni sandagdhakaamasanjeevanoushadhi

ఇది 84వ నామం. ఇక్కడితో భండాసురుని వథ పూర్తయిపోయింది. ఇది చాలా హర్షించదగ్గ విషయం. ఒకసారి అవలోకించి చూడవలసిన సందర్భం.

సతిసహగమనంతో అమ్మకు దూరమైన పరమశివుడు అన్నింటిని వదిలి సుదీర్గ ధ్యానంలోకి వెళ్ళిపోయాడు. అప్పుడు అమ్మ మళ్ళి పార్వతీదేవిగా జన్మించి ఆయన్ని చేరడానికి తపస్సు ప్రారంభించింది. ఈ తరుణంలో దేవతలకు ఒక పెద్ద సమస్య ఎదురైంది. సురాపద్ముడను రాక్షసుడు పార్వతి పరమేశ్వరులకు జన్మించిన సంతానం వలెనే మరణం పొందాలని వరం పొంది ఆ వరబలంచే లోకాలన్నిటినీ బాధింపసాగాడు.

అపుడు దేవతలు మన్మధుని పరమశివునిపై బాణం వేయమని ప్రోత్సహించారు. మన్మధబాణంచే ఆయనకు ధ్యానభంగం కాలుతుందని వారి ఆలోచన. కానీ అలా జరగలేదు. పరమశివుడు క్రోధంతో మూడవకన్ను తెరిచాడు. ఆ క్రోధాగ్నికి మన్మధుడు భస్మమైపోయాడు. మన్మధుడు లేక సృష్టి ఆగిపాయిందని చింతించి దేవతలు మళ్ళీ పరమశివుని ప్రార్ధించారు. అప్పుడు ఆయన మన్మధుడు కాలి భస్మమైన ఆ బూడిదకుప్పని ఒక సారి చూసాడు. అందులోంచి భండాసురుడు బయటకు వచ్చాడు. వాడు అరివీరభయంకరుడైన రాక్షసుడు. తన ప్రత్యర్థిలోని సగం శక్తిని గ్రహించగలిగే  వరం ఉంది భండాసురునికి. ఈ బ్రహ్మాండంలోంచి వచ్చిన ఏ శత్రువుతో తలపడిన వాడి బలం పెరుగుతుంది. అప్పుడు దేవతలు నారదుని సలహామేర ఒక యజ్ఞం తలపెట్టి అమ్మను ప్రార్ధించారు.

అప్పుడు అమ్మ చిదగ్నినుండి వచ్చి భండాసురునితో తలపడింది. ఆ యుద్ధంలో అమ్మ శ్రీ చక్రంపై కూర్చుని యుద్ధం చేసింది. ఆమె మంత్రిణి శ్యామల గేయచక్రంపై కూర్చుని యుద్ధం చేసింది. ఆమె సేనాని వారాహి కిరి చక్రంపై కూర్చుని యుద్ధం చేసింది. అశ్వారూఢ అశ్వదళాధిపతియై వీరి చుట్టూ యుద్ధరంగంలో కదులుతోంది. జ్వాలామాలిని అమ్మ సైన్యం చుట్టూ అగ్నితో రక్షణవలయం ఏర్పాటు చేసింది. అప్పుడు బాలాత్రిపురసుందరి భండుని కుమారులను హతమార్చింది. విషంగున్ని శ్యామల, విశుక్రుణ్ణి వారాహి హతమార్చారు. విశుక్రుడు స్థాపించిన జయవిఘ్నయంత్రం వలన దేవతా సైన్యం సోమరితనం, పిరికితనం, అనాసక్తి మొదలగు దుష్ప్రభావములకు గురైంది. అప్పుడు అమ్మ కామేశ్వరుని ముఖారవిందం నుంచి శ్రీగణేశున్ని సృష్టించింది. గణేశుడు ఆ జయవిఘ్నయంత్రన్ని తొలగించారు. అప్పుడు అమ్మ భండాసురునిపై బాణవర్షం కురిపించింది. తన చేతివేళ్ళగోళ్ళనుంచి విష్ణుమూర్తి దశావరాలు వచ్చాయి. సోమక ,రావణ, కుంభకర్ణ మొదలగు రాక్షసుల సంహారం జరిగింది. అప్పుడు అమ్మ మహా పాశుపతాస్త్రంతో భండుని సైన్యమంతటిని చంపిపారేసింది. చివరకు మహాకామేశ్వరాత్రంతో భండాసురుని వధ జరిగింది. అది చూసి దేవతలు, ఋషులు మొదలైనవారు చాలా సంతోషించారు. అప్పడు అమ్మ మన్మథునికి సూక్ష్మ రూపం ఇచ్చి బ్రతికించింది. దీనితో రతీదేవి చాలా సంతోషించింది. పరమశివుని మూడవకంటి అగ్నికి మన్మధుడు భస్మమైన తరువాత ఆగిపోయిన సృష్టికార్యం మళ్ళి మొదలైంది.

రహస్యం - మనం భారతీయులం. 'భా' + 'రతి' = భారతి. 'భా' అంటే స్వయంప్రకాశమైన వెలుగు. అదే పరమాత్మ. 'భారతి' అంటే అటువంటి స్వయంప్రకాశమైన వెలుగుని పొందాలనే కోరిక ఉత్సాహం కలిగి ఉండటం. 'భారతీయులు' అంటే అటువంటి కోరికతో జన్మ తరింపచేసుకోవాలని భావించేవారు. అటువంటి వారు కర్మభూమి మరియు వేదభూమి అయిన ఈ భరతఖండంలో జనమెత్తుతారు. ఆసేతుహిమాచలపర్యంతం భారతీయులతో నిండిపోయి ఉన్న ప్రాంతం కనుక మన దేశానికి భారతదేశం అనే పేరు వచ్చింది. 

మనస్సును పరమాత్మవైపు తిప్పినప్పుడు మీరు  ధ్యానంలో ఉన్న శివుడు. ఆ స్థితిలో మీకున్న ఒకేఒక్క కోరిక పరమాత్మను పొందడం. కానీ ఎక్కడో గతి తప్పింది. మనస్సు పరమాత్మను వదిలి మాయాస్వరూపమైన ఈ ప్రకృతిపై పడింది. అందువలన మీ కోరికలన్నీ ప్రకృతియొక్క మాయలో పడుతున్నాయి. మీ మనస్సు క్షణభంగురంలో తిరుగుతూ ఉంటోందో. మీరు భారతీయులని మరచిపోయి అజ్ఞానంతో ఉన్నారు. పరమాత్మ మీద ఉండ వలసిన కోరిక గతి తప్పి అశాశ్వతమైన శరీరాలపైన కలుగుతోంది. ఎన్నో జన్మలు ఎత్తుతున్నారు. అదే భండాసురుడంటే. మళ్ళీ సాధన చేసి ఈ క్షణభంగురంలోంచి బయట పడాలి. అదే ఇప్పటి దాకా జరిగిన కథ. 

Mother revived life of Manmatha who was turned into ashes by Paramashiva. However, he could not get back his physical body. He got an invisible form that is visible only to his wife Rati Devi. However, he will now be able to perform his duty (aiming arrows to stimulate love) with this invisible form.

Let's take a look back and revise what happened till now

1. After Sati sahagamana, Lord Shiva went into deep meditation
2. Mother took rebirth as Parvati and started penance for Lord Shiva
3. Padmasura meanwhile started persecuting devas as there is not controlling force on him. He got a boon that only an offspring of Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati can kill him.
4. Devatas wanted to disturb Lord Shiva's meditation. Their intention is to encourage him to have a child with goddess Parvathi. So Manmatha tried to awake Lord from deep meditation with his arrow.
5. Lord Shiva opened his third eye and turned Manmatha into a pile of ash.
6. Bhandasura is born out of the ashes of Manmatha. He has a boon that if anybody from this brahmanda fights with him, Bhandasura will get half of his opponents strength.
7. Bhandasura also started persecuting devatas.
8. As per Narada's advise, devatas made a fire sacrifice. Mother Lalitha emerged from that Chidagni.
9. Mother waged war on Bhandasura by riding on Sri Chakra ratha
10. Syaamala - Mother's minister assisted her on a chariot called Geya chakra
11. Varaahi - Mother's army commander assisted her on a chariot called Kiri chakra
12. Aswarudha - Head of cavalry was circling around these three.
13. Jwaamalini spread fire around mother's army to protect them from enemies.
14. Balatripura sundari killed all the 30 sons of Bhandasura.
15. Manthrini killed Vishanga
16. Vaarahi killed Vishukra
17. Lord Ganesha destroyed Vishukra's jaya vighna yantra and resuscitated valor in Mother's army
18. Lord Vishnu's 10 avatars emerged out of Mother's hand's finger nails. They killed somaka, ravana, hiranyakasipa etc
19. Mother destroyed Bhandasura's army with Pashupatastra
20. Then she killed Bhandasura with kamaswarastra and destroy's his city - sunyaka nagara
21. Then Mother revived life of Manmatha who was turned into ashes by Paramashiva.

Concept- We are Bharateeyans (Indians). 'Bha' + 'Rati' = Bharati. 'Bha' means self-illuminated light. That is Paramatma. ‘Bharati’ means the desire to attain such self-illumined light. ‘Bharateeyans’ means those who have such a desire. Such people are born in this Bharatakhand which is the land of karma and Vedas. Our country is called 'Bhaarat' because this region is full of Bhaarateeyans.

You are the meditating Shiva when the mind is turned towards the Paramaatma. The only desire you have in that state is to attain Him. But somewhere along the way, your mind got diverted from the Paramatma and fell upon this illusive nature. Thus all your desires fall into the illusion of nature. Your mind is spinning constantly in this illusion. You have forgotten that you are a Bhaarateeyan and became ignorant. You forgot the desire on the Paramatma and now desire for the sentient and perishable bodies. You got entangled in the cycles of birth and death. That means you became Bhandasura. Now you have to regain the desire on Paramatma and do penance to attain Him. That is the story discussed so far.
