01. Sri Mata

Mother!

Sri  Bammera Potana said like this in Bhagavatam

ammaluganna yamma mugurammala moolaputamma chaala be
ddamma suraarulamma kadupaaradivucchinayamma taanu lo
nammina velputammala manammula nundedi yamma, durga, ma
yamma krupaabdi yicchutha mahatva kavitva patutva sampadal

Every being has a mother. That mother has a mother. That grand mother has a mother. That great grand mother has a mother. Like this, there are so many mothers. Divine mother the spirit of motherhood inside all these mothers. She is the mother of Saraswati, Lakshmi and Parvathi. She is the mother of devatas and Rakshasas. She is the reason for consciousness. She is in the heart and mind of all the local goddesses. I seek her blessings to give me the greatness, poetry and determination required to write this Bhagavatam in Telugu

I also pray the Divine mother to bless me with the talent, energy, devotion and all other required things to write the explanation of these Lalitha sahasranamas. After all her blessings are all we would need to read or write about Her.

Divine mother resolves the trinity of sorrows of her children. Sorrows are of three types. They are:

1. Aadhi bhoutikamu: Sorrows caused due to suffering of ones family or closed ones. Like diseases, snake bites etc
2. Aadhi daivikamu: Sorrows caused by nature. Like fire accidents, earth quakes, floods etc
3. Aadhyaatmikamu: Sorrows caused by diseases and negative feelings inside one's body.

Divine mother resolves all these. She gives utmost happiness to her children. Hence, she is called Sri mata.
