ముక్తినిచ్చేది కాబట్టి ముకుందా అనబడుతోంది. పరమేశ్వరి తనను నమ్మినవారికి, జ్ఞానులకు వారి అర్హతలను బట్టి ముక్తినిస్తుంది.
కదాచి దాద్యా లలితా పుంరూపా కృష్ణవిగ్రహా
పరమేశ్వరి అయిన లలితాంబికయే. ముకుందుడు అనగా కృష్ణుని అవతారం ఎత్తింది. సప్తశతి ద్వాదశోధ్యాయంలో
వైవస్వతేం తరే ప్రాప్తే అష్టావింశతిత మే యుగే |
శుంభ నిశుంభశ్ఛెవాన్ ఉత్పత్యేతా మహాసురౌ ||
నందగోపగృహే జాతా యశోదాగర్భసంభవా |
తతస్తాన్నాశయిష్యామి వింధ్యాచలనివాసినీ ||
వైవస్వత మన్వంతరంలోని 28వ మహాయుగంలో శుంభ నిశుంభులని ఇద్దరు రాక్షసులు పుడతారు. అప్పుడు నేను నందగోపుని ఇంట యశోదా గర్భాన పుట్టి, వారిని సంహరించి, వింధ్యాచలం మీద ఉంటాను. అని చెప్పబడింది. అందుచేత లలితాంబికయే శ్రీకృష్ణుడు.
Mukunda means the one who gives 'Mukthi' (Liberation). Divine mother liberates those who seeks her.
Kadaachi daadyaa lalithaa pumroopaa krishnavigrahaa
Divine Mother Lalitha came in the avatar of Sri Krishna. Mukunda is one of the names of Lord Krishna
It is said like this in the 12 chapter of Sapta Sathi
Vaivaswatem tare praapte ashtavinmshathita me yuge |
Shumbha nishumbhaschaivaan utpthyethaa mahaasurou ||
Nandagopagruhe jaathaa yashodagarbhsambhavaa |
tatasthaannaashayishyaami vindhyaachalanivaasinee ||
I will take birth as son of Nanda gopal and Yashoda in the 28th maha yuga of Vaivashwatha manvantara and kill the demons Shumbha and Nishumbha. After that I will stay in the Vindhya mountains.
