ఖగోళ శాస్త్రంలో అరుంధతి, వశిష్ఠ అనే నక్షత్రాలకు ఒక ప్రత్యేకత ఉంది. అంతరిక్షంలోని గ్రహాలు అన్నీ ఎదో ఒకదాని చుట్టూ తిరుగుతుంటాయి. కానీ అరుంధతి మరియు వశిష్ఠ నక్షత్రాలు మాత్రం ఒకదాని చుట్టూ మరొకటి తిరుగుతుంటాయి. ఇద్దరి మధ్య సామరస్య భావానికి ఇది ప్రతీక. హిందువుల వివాహ వేడుకలో అరుంధతీ నక్షత్ర దర్శనం ఒక ముఖ్యమైన ఘట్టం. నూతన వధూవరులను ఆరుబయటకు తీసుకువెళ్లి అరుంధతి నక్షత్రం చూపిస్తారు. మీరిరువురికి వివాహం అయ్యింది కనుక ఇకనుంచి మీరుకూడా అరుంధతి వశిష్ఠులవలె మెలగాలని ఈ ఘట్టానికి తాత్పర్యం. ఆలుమగలలో ఒకరు ఎక్కువ మరొకరు తక్కువ అని ఏ శాస్త్రము చెప్పలేదు. వేదము శివశక్తుల మధ్య సామరస్యాన్ని ప్రతిపాదించి.
Saamarasya means Equality. This name explains the equality between Shiva and Shakti. Parayana means - Motive, inclination.
paraspara tapassampath phalaayitha parasparou |
prapanchmaataapitharou praanchou jaayaapathee sthumah ||
Shiva is the fruit of the meditation(Tapasya) done by Shakthi. And Shakthi is the fruit of the meditation(Tapasya) done by Shiva. Such is their equality. There is not even an iota of scope to find difference between them.
In astronomy, Arundhati and Vashishta are two stars that have a special feature. All the planets in space revolve around something else. But Arundhati and Vashishta revolve around each other. They are regarded as symbol of harmony. The sighting of the Arundhati star is an important event during Hindu weddings. It is shown to the newlyweds as a symbol of harmony. Sanathan dharma never discussed about domination among wife and husband. The Vedas emphasize harmony between Shiva and Shakti.
