791. Paraaparaa

She is both Paraa and Aparaa

Paraa and Aparaa are explained in Mandukopanishath

Shounaka is the son of Sushaka. After graduating in various vedic sciences, he went to his Guru Sri. Angeerasa and asked, "O! Guru, what is that one thing learning which I will become aware of everything? Please tell me". Angeerasa said like this.

"There are two streams of knowledge in this world. 1.Paraa. 2.Aparaa. Paraa is the one that helps you become aware of the attribute less Paramaatma. Aparaa helps you learn about various sciences that help you earn money, fame, power and there by attain higher standards of living.

All vedas, vyaakarana, nirukta, chandassu are Aparaa vidya. It encompasses a set of rules to follow, concepts of creation, logic, various sciences and other aspects. Vedas, Upanishaths, Puranas etc are all part of it. These will help in fulfilling your wishes. You will reach to a good position in the society by pursuing them. It gives you pleasure that is momentary.   However, you will not become immortal with this. It is only good for material comforts. Many people crave for these. They spend lot of time and effort for these. But they don't realize that these are momentary. Eventually they get bonded to these material possessions and suffer.

Paraa vidya gives you the bliss of Atma. You will become aware of the ultimate One. It is an everlasting joy. You get liberated forever. To pursue Paraa vidhya, you have to stop yearning for material comforts. The mind should focus on paramaatma with steadfast determination. It is not perceivable to senses. The limbs cannot touch it. You will realize that the whole creation is one and Paramaatma is omni present. Then you become aware of everything. That is Paraa vidya."

Prakatamu means to show, express, become visible or perceivable. Prakruthi(creation) is the expressive form of the attribute less paramaatma. Everything that has to do with Prakruthi is Aparaa vidya. Para vidya pertains to Paramatma. Both are forms of Divine mother. She is mother of all. Few of her children ask for momentary comforts. Few ask for everlasting joy. She gives whatever they seek. She is the giver of both.

This is the last name describing Mangala chandi vidya.
