సకలదేవతలవ్రతాలు ప్రియముగా గలది. అన్ని వ్రతములు ప్రియముగా గలది.
భవిష్యోత్తరపురాణంలో దేవం దేవీంచ నోద్దిశ్య య త్కరోతి వ్రతం నరః తత్సర్వం శివయో సుప్లై జగజ్జననశీలయోః || మానవుడు భగవంతుని ప్రీతి కోసం చేసే యజ్ఞాలన్నీ పార్వతీపరమేశ్వరులకే చెందుతాయి. జగత్తంతా శివశక్తిమయం. అందుచేత భేదం లేదు. అని చెప్పబడింది.పార్వతి దేవి తన ప్రియుడగు సదాశివుడే వ్రతముగా గలది కావటంచేత ప్రియవ్రతా అనబడుతున్నది.
Vrata is a form of worship that includes some sort of penance and donation. There are various vratas to please various gods/goddesses. Divine mother is the heart of all of them. She is pleased by all/any of them.
It is said like this in Bhavishyottara purana
Devam deveencha noddisya yatkarothi vratam narah
tatsravam shivayo suplai jagajjananasheelayoh||
Shiva and Shakthi are the heart of all the vratas that are performed by humans. There is no difference between Shiva and Shakthi.
Mother Paarvathi did vrata for her lover Shiva. Hence she is called Priyavratha.
