Of all the five fingers, the Kanishtika (little finger) is representative of wife, Anaamika (ring finger) is representative of progeny, Madhyama (middle finger) represents wealth, Tarjani (index finger) represents Jeevatma, Angushta (thumb) represents Paramatma. Joining Tarjani and Angushta is gnana mudra. It means union of Jeevatma and Paramaatma. The zero formed in this represents Bindu. That is Divine mother.
