Bala is described as a girl between 2 - 10 years. She is clad in red clothes. Her forehead is decorated with crescent moon. She has 3 eyes. Her glow is brilliant like rising Sun. She holds a book, rosary, abhaya mudra and varada mudra in her four hands.
Goddess Bala is generally worshipped during Navratris. A girl of age = 2 years is called Kumaari. At 3 years, she is called Trimoorthi. 4 Kalyaani,5 Rohini, 6 Kaali, 7 Chandika, 8 Shaambhavi, 9 Durga, 10 Subhadra. Mother is worshipped in these various names.
Creation, sustenance and destruction is her play. She likes it very much.
రెండు నుంచి పది సంవత్యరాలు వయస్సు గల పాపను బాల అంటారు. ఆమె ఎర్రని దుస్తులు ధరించి, నుదుటిన నెలవంక అలంకరింపబడి ఉంటుంది. మూడు కాన్నులతో ఉదయించే సూర్యునివలె మెరిసిపోతుంది. నాలుగు చేతులతో జపమాల, పుస్తకము, అభయ ముద్ర, వరద ముద్ర ధరించి ఉంటుంది.
నవరాత్రులలో ఈ బాల పూజ చేస్తారు. రెండు సంవత్యరాల పాపను కుమారి అంటారు. మూడు సంవత్యరాల పాప త్రిమూర్తి, 4 కల్యాణి, 5 రోహిణి, 6 కాళి, 7 చండిక, 8 శాంభవి, 9 దుర్గ, 10 సుభద్ర. ఈ విధములైన పేరులతో అమ్మ బాల త్రిపురసుందరిగా అర్చించబడుతుంది.
జగత్సృష్టి, స్థితి, లయలే ఆమె లీల. అటువంటి క్రీడయందు మక్కువ కలది.
