రూపమున్నది మూర్తము. రూపము లేనిది అమూర్తము. పంచభూతాలతో చేయబడినవన్నీ మూర్తాలు. వీటినే స్థూల రూపాలు అంటారు. ఇవి నశిస్తాయి. నాశనం లేనిది ఒక్క పరమాత్మ ఒక్కటే.
ఇంద్రియగోచరం కానివి కొన్ని ఉన్నాయి. అవి సూక్ష్మ రూపాలు. ఊహ, చైతన్యము, భావము మొదలైనవి. వీటిని ఇంద్రియాలతో తెలుసుకోలేము. మనస్సుతో తెలుసుకోగలము. ఇవి కూడా నశిస్తాయి.
రూపమున్న వాటిలనూ రూపము లేని వాటిలోనూ కూడా ఒక బ్రహ్మ పదార్ధం ఉంటుంది. అదే ఆత్మ. ఇవన్నీ నాశనం అయిపోయినా ఆ బ్రహ్మ పదార్ధం మాత్రం నాశనం ఎవ్వడు.
విష్ణు పురాణంలో
ద్వే రూపే బ్రహ్మణ స్తస్య మూర్తం చా మూర్త మేవ చ
క్షరాక్షరాస్వరూపే తే సర్వభూతే ష్యవస్థితే
అక్షరం బ్రహ్మ కూటస్థం క్షరం సర్వ మిదం జగత్ |
పరబ్రహ్మకు మూర్తము అమూర్తము అని రెండు రూపాలున్నాయి.
సర్వ భూతములూ క్షరములు. మూర్తామూర్తములు. అవి నశిస్తాయి. నాశనం లేనిది కేవలం అక్షరమైన పరబ్రహ్మ ఒక్కటే. అక్షరమైన ఈ పరబ్రహ్మ క్షరమైనవాటన్నింటిలోనూ దాగి ఉన్నాడు.
Moorta means the one that has form. Amoorta means the one that does not have form. All those that are made of the 5 elements have form. These are perceived by senses. There are a few things that does not have form. They are feelings, thoughts, energy etc. These can be perceived by the mind.
It is said like this in Vishnu Puraana
Dwe roope brahmana sthasya moortham chaa moortha meva cha
ksharaaksharaaswaroope te sarvabhoote shyavasthite
aksharam brahma kootastham kshram sarva midam jagath
Both Moorta and Amoorta are perishables. They don't last for ever. Only Paramaatma is imperishable. The imperishable paramaatma is inside all the perishable things.
