From OM came Shakti. This Shakti expressed itself as a triology. The corners of this triangle are called Tripuras. Because all these Tripuras came from Divine mother (OM), she is called Maha Tripura sundari.
Below are a few Tripuras defined in sanatana dharama:
When there are three forces with one acting upon another, then we can represent them in a triangle and find out the resultant force of the force system. Each of these Tripuras are being expressed as a triangle of connected forces. The yantras of sanatana dharma have many such triangles to explain the effect of these Tripuras.
At the centre of the gayatri yantra is 'OM'. After that there is a triangle with 'Bhu', 'Bhuvar', 'Svah'. This is to represent the fact that from OM came the physical body(Bhu), meta physical body(bhuvar) and the atman(svah). These three are influencing each other.
బిందు స్వరూపుడైన పరబ్రహ్మ నుండి కొంత శక్తి బయటకు వచ్చి త్రికోణంగా ఏర్పడింది. ఆ త్రికోణముయొక్క మూడు కోణములలో త్రిపురాలు ఉంటాయి. త్రిపుటి అంతా బిందువు నుండే వచ్చింది కాబట్టి బిందురూపిణి అయిన అమ్మను మహా త్రిపురసుందరి అని పిలిచారు.

- ఇఛ్చా జ్ఞాన క్రియా శక్తులు
- వామ జ్యేష్ఠ రౌద్రి శక్తులు
- సత్త్వ రజస్ తమో గుణములు
- బ్రహ్మ విష్ణు రుద్రులు
- మహాకాళీ, మహాలక్ష్మి, మహాసరస్వతులు
- కామేశ్వరి, వజ్రేశ్వరి, భాగమాలినులు
హేతుబద్ధంగా ఆలోచిస్తే ఈ సృష్టి జరిగిన తీరులో 3 అనే సంఖ్యకు, త్రికోణం అనే ఆకారానికి చాలా ప్రాముఖ్యత ఉంది. గణిత శాస్త్రంలో ఏవైనా మూడు తత్త్వాలు ఒకదానికొకటి అనుసరించి వ్యవహరిస్తుంటే వాటిని త్రిభుజాకారంలో పెట్టి వాటి అంతిమ ప్రభావాన్ని లెక్క కట్టే ప్రక్రియ ఉంది. ఆ ప్రక్రియని అనుసరించే సనాతన ధర్మంలోని యంత్రాలలో త్రిపురాలనే త్రిభజాలు పెడతారు.
గాయత్రీ యంత్రంలో బిందు స్థానంలో ఓం ఉంటుంది. ఆ తరువాతి త్రిభుజంలో భూహ్, భువః, సువః ఉంటాయి. భూ అంటే మన భౌతిక కాయం. భువర్ అంటే మన సూక్ష్మ కాయం, సువః అంటే ఆత్మ. అంటే నాదం(బిందువు) నుండి ఈ మూడు వచ్చాయి అని సూచిస్తోంది. ఈ మూడు ఒకదానినొకటి ప్రభావితం చేస్తూ ఉంటాయి.
