దేవతలలో గోవులను కాచేవారు. సిద్ధులు. వీరిచే పూజింపబడుతుంది. కాబట్టి సిద్ధేశ్వరి అనబడుతుంది.
కాశీక్షేత్రంలో సర్వసిద్ధులు ప్రసాదించే దేవి ఉన్నది. ఆమె సిద్ధేశ్వరీదేవి. సిద్ధులు అనేకరకాలు ప్రత్యేకంగా అష్టసిద్ధులు అని ఎనిమిది సిద్ధులు ప్రసిద్ధి చెందాయి. శ్రీచక్రంలోని భూపురంలోని మొదటిరేఖలో ఈ సిద్ధి దేవతలుంటారు.నిధివాహనసమారూఢా వరదా భయకరాంబుజా

1. ఆణిమా - శరీరాన్ని అతి చిన్నగా చెయ్యటం
2. మహిమ - శరీరం అతి పెద్దదిగా చెయ్యటం

4. లఘిమ - శరీరము బరువును విపరీతంగా తగ్గించటం
5. ప్రాప్తి - కావలసిన వస్తువులు పొందటం
6. ప్రాకామ్యం - ఆకాశసంచారము
7. ఈశిత్వము - సమస్థానికీ అధికారం పొందటం
8. వశిత్వం - సమస్త భూతాలను లోబరచుకోవటం
ఈ దేవతలను అర్చిస్తే ఆ ఫలితాలు వస్తాయి. కాని సిద్దేశ్వరి అనే దేవత ఈ శక్తులేగాక, దూరశ్రవణము దూరదృష్టి, భవిష్యద్వాణి వంటి సిద్ధులు కూడా ప్రసాదిస్తుంది. షట్చక్రాలలోనూ స్వాధిష్టానానికి అధిదేవత.
కుర్తాళం పీఠానికి అధిదేవత సిద్ధేశ్వరి. ఆ పీఠం పేరు సిద్ధేశ్వరీపీఠం.
Siddhas are cowherds among the deities. Mother Lalith is worshiped by them. So, she is called Siddheswari.
In Kasikshetra there is a goddess who bestows the Siddhas (supernatural powers). She is Siddheshwari Devi. There are many types of siddhas. Eight of them are popularly known as Ashtasiddhas. These Siddha deities are present in the first petal of the Bhupuram lotus of Srichakra.

2. Mahima - Making the body very large
3. Garima - excessive increase in body weight
4. Laghima - extreme reduction in body weight
5. Praapti – Obtaining all the required items
6. Prakamyam - Roaming in the sky
7. Eishitva - Empowerment of all
8. Vasitva - subjugation of all beings
By worshiping these deities, one can acquire those siddhis. But the Goddess Siddeshwari also bestows Siddhas like tele-phoning, tele-viewing and becoming aware of the furture, in addition to these powers. She is the presiding deity of Swadhishta in the Shatchakras.
Siddheswari is the presiding deity of Kurtalam Peetha. The name of that Peetha is Siddeshwari Peetha.
