215.Mahamaya
'Maya' means thoughts of 'I' and 'Mine'. Thinking that I exist as a separate entity and there are a few entities that belong to me is illusion. There is only one entity - Om tat sat' is truth (going beyond illusion).
All living things are bound by Maya. Of those only humans can realize the truth and go beyond Maya. But that is not so easy. Maya bounds even the greatest of the great and makes their lives a misery.
216.Mahasattva
Of all the three gunas, Sattva take you closest to God. It helps in reaching the state of nirguna (without any character). Mahasatva indicates that our divine mother is 'Nirguna'
217.Mahasakthih
Shakti is the one that causes stimulus. Divine mother is 'Maha shakti'. She gives stimulus to the otherwise inert Shiva. In soundarya lahari, Sri Sankara said, 'Shivah shaktyayukto yadi bhavati shaktah prabhavitum, nache devam devo na khalu kushalah spanditumapi'. That means, Divine mother is the shakti behind the stimulus caused in 'Shiva'. Without her, Shiva will be inert/motionless.
218.Maharathih
'Bha' means self-luminous light. It represents the Atman. 'rathi' means proclivity, inclination. Because we find so many people who have inclination to find and enjoy the bliss of the Atman, this land is called 'Bha'+'Rath' = Bharat. This proclivity is very strong. It does not go even after taking hundreds of thousands of rebirths. Hence it is termed as 'Maha rathi'
215.మహామాయా
నేను ఉన్నాను. నావి అని కొన్ని ఉన్నాయి అనే భావనయే మాయ. అంతటా భగవంతుడే ఉన్నాడు. నేను వేరు భగవంతుడు వేరు కాదు. ఉన్నది ఒక్కటే (ఓం తత్ సత్) అన్న భావన నిజము(మాయ లేకుండుట).
ఈ జగత్తులోని ప్రాణులన్నీ మాయకు గురయివుంటాయి. వాటిలో కేవలం మనుషులు మాత్రమే మాయను దాటి నిజాన్ని(భగవంతుడిని) చేరుకోగలరు. కానీ అది అంత సులభం కాదు. ఎంతో గొప్ప గొప్ప వారు కూడా ఈ మహామాయకు గురయ్యి నానా బాధలు పడుతుంటారు.
216.మహాసత్వా
త్రిగుణాలలో సత్వ గుణము భగవంతునికి అతిచేరువైనది. ఇది గుణాతీతమైన స్థితికి చేరడానికి తొడ్పడుతుంది. సాధకుడు ఆ స్థితికి చేరుకున్న పిదప అది దానంతట అదే నశించిపోతుంది. మహాసత్త్వ అంటే అటువంటి గుణాతీతమైన స్థితి. అదే అమ్మ.
217.మహాశక్తిహ్
చలనం కలిగించేది శక్తి. అమ్మ మహా శక్తి స్వరూపిణి. చలనం లేకుండా స్థాణువులా ఉన్న శివుడిలో ఆవిడే స్పందన కలిగిస్తుంది. సౌందర్య లహరి లో శంకరులు ఇలా అన్నారు 'శివఃశక్త్యాయుక్తో యాదిభావతి శక్తః ప్రభవితుం నాచే దేవందేవో న ఖలుకుశలః స్పందితుమపి ' - అంటే శక్తి లేకపోతే శివుడు స్పందన కూడా కోల్పోతాడు అని అర్ధం.
218.మహారతిహ్
'రతి' అంటే ప్రీతి, కోరిక అని అర్ధం. 'భా' అంటే స్వయంప్రకాశమైన వెలుగు అని అర్ధం. 'భా' మనలోని ఆత్మను సూచిస్తుంది. అటువంటి వెలుగుని కనుగొనటంపై ప్రీతి కలిగినవారు ఎక్కువగా ఉండటం వలన ఈ భూమికి భారతి అని పేరు వచ్చింది. ఆత్మానందంపై కోరిక అత్యంత బలవత్తరమైనది. ఎన్ని జన్మలు ఎత్తిన, ఎన్ని కర్మలు చేసినా అది పోదు. అందుకే 'మహారతి' అన్నారు.
