కఠోపనిషత్తులో
ఆత్మ చాలా ప్రకాశవంతమైనది. అక్కడ సూర్యుడు కాని, చంద్రుడు కాని, నక్షత్రాలుగాని ప్రకాశించవు.
భైరవయామళంలో
పరమేశ్వరి కొన్ని వేల కోట్ల సూర్యచంద్రులకాంతులతో ప్రాకశిస్తున్నది. ఆ కాంతి సుండి అగ్ని 108, సూర్యుడు 116, చంద్రుడు 136 కిరణాలను మాత్రమే గ్రహించ గలిగారు. వీటి వల్లనే జగత్తు ప్రవర్తిల్లుతున్నది
ఆత్మ దర్శనం ఒక కాంతి పుంజం. అది మాంస నేత్రాలకు తెలియదు. అది అన్నింటికన్నా గొప్ప తేజస్సు.
Paramu = The one on the top. Above all. Jyothi = Light. Paranjyothi means that light which is most superior to all.

The glimpse of Atma is filled with dazzling and brilliant light. It is more than the sun, the moon or stars.
From Bhairaveeyamaalam
Divine mother is shining with the dazzling light that equal crores of Suns. Agni took 108 rays from that light. Sun took 116 rays from it. Moon tool 136 rays from it. The earth is flourishing because of these rays.
The brilliance of Atma cannot be seen with naked eye. It reveals itself to the spiritual eye.
