కలానాం చతుషష్ట్యాది రూపాణాం మాలా పరంపరా
అరవైనాలుగు కళల పరంపర. లావణ్యముగా నుండునది. శోభను పొందినది. కళలు మొత్తం అరవైనాలుగు. ఇవి విద్యాకళలు, వృత్తికళలు, అలాగే చంద్రకళలు, సూర్యకళలు, బ్రహ్మకళలు, రుద్రకళలు, అగ్నికళలు. ఈ కళలన్నింటినీ మాలగా ధరించినది. వీటన్నింటినీ చతుషష్టి కళామయి అనే నామంలో వివరించాం. ఈ కళలచే పరివేష్టింపబడినది.ఈ కళల ద్వారా మనం అమ్మకు చేరువ అవ్వచ్చు. తదేక దృష్టితో ఏదైనా కళను ఆస్వాదిస్తే మనం ఉన్మన స్థితిని చేరుకుంటాం. ఆ స్థితిలో ఏ ఆలోచనా ఉండదు. అందుకే మన సంస్కృతిలో కళాకారులకు ఎంతో గౌరవం ఉంటుంది. పోటాకూటికి ఏ కర్మ చేస్తారో అదే వారికి ముక్తి మార్గం కూడా అవుతుంది.
Kalaanaam chathushashtyaadi roopaanaam maalaa paramparaa
Here kala means fine arts. There are total 64 fine arts. They are, Vidhyaa kala, Vrutti kala, chandra kala, Soorya kala, Brahma kala, Rudra kala, Agni kala. We discussed them in the name Chatushashti kalamayee. Divine mother can be reached through these fine arts.
When your mind gets immersed in any of these fine arts, you reach a state of trans. There are no thoughts there. It's peaceful and calm. That is why artists are highly respected in Indian culture. They are thought as the luckiest because for them performing their art gives both Mukthi (liberation) and material comforts.
