షట్చక్రాలకు పైన బ్రహ్మరంధ్రం దగ్గర సహస్రదళపద్మమున్నది. ఇందులో ఎనిమిది దిక్కులకు ఎనిమిది దళాలుంటాయి. ఒక్కొక్క దళంలోనూ 125 చిన్నచిన్న దళాలుంటాయి. ఈ రకంగా మొత్తం వేయిదళాలుంటాయి. అందుకే దీన్ని సహస్రదళపద్మము అంటారు. ఇక్కడ ఉండేవాడు పరమేశ్వరుడు. ఈ చక్రానికి అధిదేవత యశస్విని. ఇక్కడ సహస్రదళాలలోను అన్ని రంగులు, అన్ని అక్షరాలు ఉంటాయి. ఇది పరమాత్మస్థానము. సహస్రదళంలో వేలకొలది సూర్యకాంతులు ప్రసరిస్తూ ఉంటాయి. యోగీశ్వరులకు ఇక్కడే ఆత్మదర్శనమవుతుంది. అంటే స్వస్వరూపజ్ఞానం కలుగుతుంది. ఇది జీవాత్మ పరమాత్మల సంగమస్థానం.
There is a 1000 petalled lotus near the topmost part of our head. It has 8 large petals in each of the 8 directions. In each of these there are 125 small petals. hence it is called 1000 petalled lotus. Lord Parameswara is here. Yashaswini is the adidevata of this chakra. It glows in all colors. It has all letters in it. This is the place where yogi/yoginis witness the Atman. This is the point of self-realization. This is the yoga(union) of Jeevatma and Paramatma.
