268.Samharini - Destruction is the job of Rudra who is majorly of Tamo guna. Divine mother gives the power of destruction to Rudra.
269.Rudrarupa - Rudam dravayateeti rudrah - Rud means Sorrow or reason for sorrow. Rudra is He who removes rud. Rudra amongst trimurthies is the one mainly with tamo guna. Divine mother dissolves the world in the form of 'Rudra'. Sage Yagnavalka while describing about Rudras said like this. The 5 gnanendriyas, 5 karmendriyas and the mind, all these 11 leave the body when the being's karma is complete. This way they remove the sorrows of the being and cause sorrow to his kith and kin(while leaving the body). Hence these are attributed by the word 'Rudra'
268.సంహారిణీ - సంహారము తమోగుణ ప్రధానుడైన రుద్రుని పని.రుద్రునికి ఆ శక్తిని ఇచ్చేది అమ్మే.
269. రుద్రరూపా - రుదంద్రావయతీతి రుద్రః. రుద్ - అనగా దుఃఖము లేక దుఃఖకారణము. దుఃఖములను పోగొట్టువాడు రుద్రుడు. త్రిమూర్తులలో తమోగుణ ప్రధానుడు రుద్రుడు. అమ్మ రుద్రుని రూపంలో జగత్తును లయం చేస్తుంది. కాబట్టి రుద్రరూపా అనబడుతోంది. రుద్రులు గురించి వివరిస్తూ యాజ్ఞవల్కుడు ఇలా అన్నాడు. జ్ఞానేంద్రియాలు 5, కర్మేంద్రియాలు 5, మనస్సు. ప్రాణియొక్క కర్మ పరిసమాపన మైనప్పుడు వీరు శరీరం నుంచి నిష్క్రమిస్తారు. ఈ రకంగా శరీరం వదిలి బంధువులను రోదింపచేస్తాయి. కాబట్టి ఇవి రుద్రశబ్దం చేత పిలువబడతాయి.
