దేవీ పురాణంలో
బహూని యస్యా రూపాణి స్థిరాణి చ చరాణిచ
దేవమానుషతిర్యంచో బహురూపా తత శ్శివా
స్థావర జంగమాత్మకమైన ఈ జగత్తులో అన్ని రూపాలు ఆ పరమేశ్వరివే. దేవతలు, మానవులు. అందరూ ఆమే. అందుచేత బహురూపా అనబడుతున్నది.
లింగపురాణంలో
శంకరా! పురుషాః సర్వే స్త్రీయ స్సర్వా మహేశ్వరీః
స్త్రీలింగ మఖిలం గౌరీ పుంలింగం తు మహేశ్వరః
లోకంలోని పురుషులంతా శివస్వరూపులు కాగా స్త్రీలంతా శక్తిస్వరూపులు. ఈ రకంగా శివాశివ రూపంలో ఈ ప్రపంచమంతా పరమేశ్వరీ స్వరూపమే అవుతుంది.
వామన పురాణంలో
విశ్వం బహువిధం జేయం సా చ సర్వత్ర వర్తతే
తస్మా త్సా బహురూపత్వా దృహురూపా శివా మతా ||
అనేక విధాలుగా ఉన్న ఈ ప్రపంచంలో అన్ని రూపాలలోను పరమేశ్వరి కనిపిస్తుంది.
నారదపురాణంలో
ఉమైన బహురూపేణ పత్నీత్వేన వ్యవస్థితా
ఉమాదేవియే శివుని అన్ని రూపాలయందు పత్నిగా ఉన్నది.
విద్యలన్నీ అమ్మ రూపాలే. బాల, వారాహి, మహావిద్య, పంచదశి, సౌభాగ్యవిద్య, బగళా, షోడశి,
శుద్ధవిద్య, అశ్వారూఢా ఇలా ఒకటేమిటి? అన్నిరకాల విద్యలూ పరమేశ్వరి స్వరూపమే.
Divine mother is in everything that has name and form. She is inside all beings. Because she is present in so many forms(multiple forms), she became popular as Bahu roopa.
It is said like this in Devi Puraana
Bahooni yasyaa roopaani sthiraani cha charaanicha
Devamaanushathiryancho bahuroopaa tata sshivaa
All those that has stimulus and all those that don't have any stimulus are forms of Divine mother. Devatas, Rakshasas, humans all of them are her forms. The whole creation becomes her form.
It is said like this in Linga puraana
Shankaraa! purushaah sarve Sthreeya ssarvaa maheshwareeh
Streelinga makhilam gowri pumlingam tu maheshwarah
All the masculine objects are forms of Shiva and all the feminine objects are forms of Shakti. So the whole world is the filled with Shiva and Shakti in their masculine and feminine forms.
It is said like this in Vaamana puraana
Vishwam bahuvidham jeyam saa cha sarvatra vartate
tasmaa tsaa bahuroopatwaa druhruroopaa shivaa mataa ||
Though the world looks like it has many forms in it, you can see Divine mother inside everything.
It is said like this in Naarada Puraana
umaina bahuroopena patneetwena vyavasthitaa
Divine mother has become multiple forms of Paramaatma
All studies are Mother's forms. Baala, Vaaraahi, Mahaavidhya, Panchadashi, Soubhaagyavidhya, Bagalaa, Shodashi, Shuddhavidhya, Ashwaroodhaa. Like this all the studies are forms of Divine mother.
