ఉత్కృష్టమైన ఆకాశమే పరాకాశము. అదే పరబ్రహ్మ. ఆకాశమే పరబ్రహ్మ. ఇక్కడ ఆకాశము అంటే పంచభూతాలలోని ఆకాశం కాదు. అన్నిటా వ్యాపించి ఉండేది అని అర్థం. సర్వవ్యాపి.
కూర్మపురాణంలో “ఆమె లోకాలకు ముఖ్యకారణము. సర్వాత్మిక, తేజోవతి, మహేశ్వరి. ఈ రకంగా ఆమె శక్తి అనాది సిద్ధమైనది. ఆకాశమనే పేరుతో దివియందు ప్రకాశిస్తున్నది" అని చెప్పబడింది. .
స్వచ్ఛంద తంత్రంలో
ద్వాదశాంతం లలాబోర్ధ్వం కపాలోర్డ్వా వసానకం |
ద్వ్యంగుళార్థ్వం శిరోదేశాత్ పరంవ్యోమ ప్రకీర్తితా ||
నొసటికి పైన ద్వాదశస్థానమున్నది. అక్కడ కపాలము యొక్క పైభాగము అంతమవుతుంది. శిరస్సుకు రెండు అంగుళాల పైన పరాకాశమున్నది" అని చెప్పబడింది. అక్కడ ఆ పరాకాశంలో పరబ్రహ్మ ఉంటాడు.
Aakaasha means space. Para aakaasha means beyond space. Here space represents the omnipresent quality of Divine Mother. However, space is one of the five elements that she is not constricted to it. She is beyond it. Hence she is called Paraakaasha.
It is said like this in Koorma purana:
She is the raison d'etre of creation. She is omnipresent. She is that brilliant dazzling light. She is greatest Lord. She is Paraakaasha
It is said like this in Swachchanda tantra:
Dwaadashantam lalaabordwam kapaalordwaa vasaanakam |
dwyangulardwam shirodeshaath paramvyoma prakeerthitaa ||
Dwadashaasthana is on the forehead. The skull ends there. Two inches above the head is the Paraakaasha. That is Divine Mother's abode.
