బ్రహ్మ సృష్టి చెయ్యాలనే సంకల్పంతో కొంతమంది మానసపుత్రులను సృష్టించాడు. వారిలో సనకాదులు కూడా ఉన్నారు. వీరు మొత్తం నలుగురు 1. సనక, 2. సనందన 3. సనత్కుమార 4. సనత్సుజాత అని వీరి పేర్లు. వీరు బ్రహ్మ చెప్పినట్లుగా సృష్టి కార్యక్రమం చెయ్యకుండా ఊర్ధ్వరేతస్కులై, తపోవనాలకు వెళ్ళిపోయారు. శ్రీవిద్యా పరంపరలో సిద్ధేఘమునందున్న వారు సనక సనందనాదులు. ఇంద్రాది దేవతలు శ్రీవిద్యను సనక సనందనాదులకు చెప్పారు. వారు ఆవిద్యను మానవులకు ఉపదేశించారు. ఈ రకంగా సనక సనందనాదులు శ్రీవిద్యావరంపరలోనివారు. సనకసనందనాదులు సిద్ధులు. సదా కౌమారావస్థలోనే ఉంటారు. పుట్టుకతోనే జ్ఞానస్వరూపులు. పరమేశ్వరిని ఆరాధించి తరించిన వారు.
సనక సనందన సనత్కుమార సనత్సుజాతలతో పాటుగా వీరితో సమానమైన జ్ఞానులచే ఆరాధించబడుతుంది ఆ పరమేశ్వరి. అందుకే సనకాది సమారాధ్యా అనబడుతోంది.బ్రహ్మపురాణంలోత్వమేవా? నాది రఖిలా కార్యకారణరూపిణీ |
త్వామేవ హి విచిన్వంతి యోగినః సనకాదయః ||
నీవే ఆదివి. కార్యకారణరూపిణివి. సనకాదియోగగణాలు నిన్నే వెదకుతున్నాయి అని చెప్పబడింది.
Divine mother is worshipped not only by the great sages like Sanaka, Sananda etc. but also other great rishis. Hence she is called Sanakadi samaaraadhya
Brahma, with an intention to create, created few humans. 1.Sanaka, 2.Sanandana, 3.Sanatkumaara, 4.Sanatsujata are few of them. Brahma expected that these people will expand the human race on the earth. But these people shunned all material comforts and focused on liberation (Moksha) since childhood. Those who are in Siddhega in Srividya tradition are called Sanaka, sanandana etc. These sages learnt Srividya from devatas like Indra. They in turn spread that knowledge to humans on the earth. This way they became part of Srividya tradition. They possess ashta siddhis.
Twameva? naadi rakhila kaaryakaaranaroopini
twaameva hi vichinvanthi yoginah sanakaadayah
You are the beginning, raison d'etre. Yogis like Sanaka, Sanandana seek only you.
