మైత్రి మొదలగు చతుర్విధ వాసనలతో పొంద దగినది. అవి
1. మైత్రి, 2. కరుణ, 3. ముదిత, 4. ఉపేక్ష
1. స్నేహితులయందు చూపేది మైత్రి
2. దుఃఖితులయందు చూపే కరుణ
3. పుణ్యాత్ములందు చూపేది ముదిత
4. పాపాత్ములందు చూపేది ఉపేక్ష
ఈ నాలుగు రకాల వాసనలచేత పొందదగినది. భాగవతంలో వీటిని వివరించటం జరిగింది.
సహృదయులైన వారితో బేధభావం లేకుండా చాలా సఖ్యంగా ఉండాలి అదే మైత్రి, దుఃఖించేవారు, బాధపడేవారు వీరందరియందు జాలి కలిగి ఉండటమే కరుణ. పుణ్య పురుషులతో సాంగత్యం చెయ్యటమే ముదిత. పాపాత్ములందు నికృష్టమైన యేహ్యభావన లేకుండా ఉండటమే ఉపేక్ష.
ఈ నాలుగు వాసనలను నిత్యజీవితంలో ఆచరించే వారికి పరమేశ్వర సాక్షాత్కారమవుతుంది. అంటే సాధకుడు సుఖము, దుఃఖము, పుణ్యము, పాపముల విషయమై జాగ్రత్త పడాలి.
మైత్రి మొదలగు వాటిచేత పరిశుద్ధమైనటువంటి చిత్తము గలవారు కేశాలను తొలగించి యోగమార్గంలో పయనించేవారు సమాధిస్థితిని పొందుతారు. అంటే అలాంటి పరమయోగులకు ఆత్మసాక్షాత్కారమవుతుంది.
అందుకే భాగవతంలో
నీ పాద కమల సేవయు
నీ పాదార్చకుల తోడి నెయ్యమును
నితాంతాపార భూతదయయును
తాపసమందార ! నాకు దయచేయగదే ||
నీ పాద కమల సేవయు
నీ పాదార్చకుల తోడి నెయ్యమును
నితాంతాపార భూతదయయును
తాపసమందార ! నాకు దయచేయగదే ||
భావం - హే ప్రభు! ఎవరైతే హృదయంలో నిత్యం నిన్నే తలచుకుంటారో అటువంటి వారి సేవాభాగ్యం నాకు కలిగించు. నిత్యం నీ సేవ చేసే వారితో నాకు మిత్రత్వం కలిగించు. ప్రాణికోటిపై దయ నాకు ప్రసాదించు.
This name explains the four tendencies that help us in the path of liberation. They are 1.Friendship, 2.Mercy, 3.Respect, 4.Discretion
- One should make friendship with good people (People with plain heart and good/positive thoughts)
- One should have mercy on helpless and needy
- One should have respect towards those who does virtuous deeds
- One should have discretion towards those sinful intentions
Divine mother helps in the path of liberation to those with these tendencies. In the Bhagavat Purana it is explained that:
Nee paada kamala sevayu
Nee paadaarchakula thodi neyyamu
Nitaantaapara bhoota dayayu
taapasa mandaara naaku daya cheya gade!!
Meaning, Oh lord! Please give me the chance to serve those who think of you always. Please give me the proximity of those who serve you. Please give me mercy so that I help those in need.
